"The Great Tragety"

By: Gilberto Sarabia

Intro:

In the walls of Verona is where it all began with two households with the names of Montague and Capulet. Where the past can not be forgotten, Therefore enemies blood is taken. Two lovers who can't live without the other do not stop there parents fury against each other. Romeo a Montague and Juliet the Capulet are those lovers and take their own lives with a plan gone wrong. With the only child gone for both Sir Montague and Capulet make peace. So now we begin our investigation of the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.

Romeo's Profile:

In the investigation of Romeo it was a bit tricky not know how and why he died. Romeo was a character that was in love with the wrong girls. I say that because Since he was a Montague he would find a Capulet to fall in live with as I researched. Romeo was the only son of Montague with the age of only 16 years old and his best friend was a character with the name of Mercutio. Romeo's personality was friendly until his friend was killed which tempted Romeo to kill Tybalt and to his banishment from the Prince. He also seemed to be a person to fall in love very easily which to his death. Romeo had Juliet and Rosaline as his girlfriends at first Rosaline but she left Romeo to become a nun and Juliet his love that was a Capulet and killed himself which most of the evidence lead to when he thought Juliet had died.

Juliet's Profile:

With the continuation of the investigation we got plenty of information from her mother and nurse. Juliet was a character who was only 12 years old but seemed to be really pretty even though she was really young. Juliet was the only child from Sir Capulet and had her own nurse her whole life to help her out as well her mother. Juliet's was stubborn since she was still a child and seemed to didn't want her parents to control her life. Juliet didn't have friends that they mention in the play. Juliet's parents wanted her to marry Paris which was a relative of the prince which meant royalty. Juliet refused therefore stayed with Romeo and lost her life with a dagger to the heart as the wound appeared.

Statements from the Nurse:

As the former Nurse of Juliet the Nurse absolutely felt "terrible and disappointed" expressed the nurse in herself. She had felt that way because she was involved of the marriage of my Juliet and Romeo. "Maybe if I refused to help Juliet meet with Romeo they never would have got married, therefore there wouldn't have been a death of madam Juliet" said the nurse disappointed. What the nurse stated was that she was trying to convince Juliet to marry Paris for a nice wealthy life, but did not succeed even though that tragic deaths happened she was still proud that there is not a feud between the Montague household and our household the Capulet's. The Nurse's statements were really helpful and lead us to the conclusion.

Statements from Balthasar:

Balthasar is a Montague who had a lot of information for our investigation. As a balthasar stated "I had thought she had died" is what tempted Balthasar to go outside the walls of Verona to tell Romeo what he had seen. Of coarse if Balthasar had told him Romeo would want to see it for himself. "We raced to back to Verona" Stated Balthasar and had done. That is most likely why did not get the letter from the Friar which was traveling with a messenger. Balthasar also told us "As soon as we got to the courtyard he had told me to leave so i did what I was told." Then Balthasar had returned and had seen Romeo died so he had reported it, which lead us to now that Romeo had committed suicide.

Consequences:

Not yet has the households have been punished or has anyone been in trial. The person our investigation told us that should be put on trial is the Friar. We say that because he is the one that gave that potion to Juliet as he confirmed. Also he failed to get the later to Romeo that she had not actually died. Another possible person that can be put on trial is the Nurse, I say that because she secretly let Romeo and Juliet meat and is who told Romeo where to go to get married. Maybe if she did not get involved the tragedy would have not I happened. So that is who I think should be put on trial further information is still to be announced.

Your views on Euthanasia

YOUR views on Euthanasia

- Well in my opinion Euthanasia is not bad and is not bad if done. I say that because i believe people who do not have a chance of getting healthy or something they should be able to say i don't want to live no more and succeed at what she or he wants. I am pretty sure that a person who is going to be in the hospital for the rest of his or her life they would want to get a Luger and shoot them selves if they had the chance. Also if an old man with grizzled hair gets euthanasia because he is elderly and sick that would also be okay if it is his desire to not live no longer. But an exception is like the situation of the man who killed his family after loosing his job. In my opinion that was not the right thing to do because why would a man kill his family when they are bewildered and don't know whats going on. Euthanasia should be done if there is not a better solution like why would you kill your children if you are suffering if you can just give them to Foster care. If euthanasia is done earnestly there shouldn't be a problem with pedestrians since some are always protesting against it. If someone is anguished there i no doubt that euthanasia shouldn't be an option. I say that because if you are you can just get over the thing your anguished about in a little while. So those are my thoughts on euthanasia.

"Mercy Killing"

1. Reflecting on Of Mice and Men

a. Explain George's perspective for what he did to Lennie.

- I think George's perspective to what he did to Lennie is that he believed that Lennie was to much trouble and also he didn't want Lennie to suffer in jail. I also think that George didn't want Lennie to get shot by Curley. I think if I were in George's position I would have made the same choice. I say that because there is nothing else better for Lennie. Don't you think that George was getting tired of having to find a new job just for Lennie to stay with a job. So I think George made the rite decision for Lennie's fate even though Lennie didn't want it that way.

b. Do you think that was the best thing to do for Lennie?

- Well in my opinion I think that wasn't the thing for Lennie because he didn't know how to control he's strength and was a misunderstood person. I also believe that George wouldn't be able to just run away again and find a little place like Lennie wanted. But unfortunately there was nothing else George could have done to help Lennie. I think that because if they try to run away together Curley and the other men would eventually find them and shoot them both. Even though they still had a chance to escape if they find another job you never know that Lennie is going to do something similar to what he did again George would have to be jobless again but if he didn't have Lennie he would easily find a good job. So that is why that was the best thing for Lennie's fate.

2. Father in Italy Accused of Murder

a. Using a "quote" to support your response, explain the father's reasons for what he did.

- Beppino Englaro had done his actions to his daughter Eluana because "that was her wish". The father's reasons for his actions was that he must have felt bad for his daughter's suffering. He had been trying for ten years just to complete his daughter's wishes. I think if i were Eluana's father i would had made to same choice. In my opinion that quote says it all because as a father Beppino wanted to complete his daughter's wishes.

b. Using a "quote" to support your response, explain if that was the best thing to do for the daughter.

- In my opinion euthanasia was the best thing for Eluana Beppino's daughter. "Beppino Englaro, won an intense 10-year battle to allow his daughters feeding tubes to be removed." That was the best thing for Eluana because she had wanted that fate. Beppino in my opinion did a really good job helping his daughter succeed in her wish. If I were Beppino i think i wouldn't be able to spend 10-years of my life even if i wanted too. So that is why I think that was the best thing for Eluana Englaro.

c. Do you agree or disagree with what the father did? Why?
- I actually agree with the decision of Eluana's father. I agree because there was nothing better for Beppino to do then just let his daughter suffer for the rest of her life not being happy. I think if I were Eluana i would want the same fate. I say that because the majority of the people in the world like to live a free life and not stay in a hospital for almost there whole life. So give I would

3. Man Kills Family after Losing his Job

a. Imagine and list things that might have been going through the father's mind as he contemplated his "mercy" killing. (In the article, the father's suicide note gives specific evidence of why he did what he did. Elaborate on it.) Specifically, what could he have been negative or paranoid about?
- Well i think the Father did what he did because he had believed that there was nothing better to do for his children. What i mean by that is since he was going threw some hard times he wasn't thinking well and was mad for loosing his job and I'm guessing he didn't want Foster care for his children. Also since the economy was so bad he was worried he wasn't going to be able to find a other good job. In my opinion the father must have been paranoid
about not being able to give his children the life he wanted them to have because he had lost his job.

b. Unfortunately, with America's failing economy, many professionals are losing their jobs. While many do not resort to something as extreme as the man in the article, it does cause stress within families. What are some ways that parents can support children (to succeed in life) that do NOT require money?
- In my opinion there ain't much someone can do if they are in a situation of loosing there jobs. But that shouldn't end up with a solution of killing yourself and you family. What I think you can do in that situation is just sell your house for a smaller place to just feed yourself and your family until you clean stuff up and find a nice well paid job. What the most important thing is just care about your family at least that is what I think is most important in a family. Just that is what a family needs to succeed in life.
